OUR COMMITMENT
We carefully select the materials used in each piece, from solid 925 sterling silver and solid 14K gold to freshwater pearls, lab-grown diamonds and natural stones. Our focus is on quality, wearability and choosing the right material for each design — while keeping our jewellery fairly priced.
Read on to learn more about the materials we use and what they mean for you.
Solid 925 Sterling Silver
Most of our earrings are crafted from solid 925 sterling silver, made with 92.5% pure silver for a balance of beauty, durability and wearability. Selected designs are finished with rhodium, 18K gold or 18K rose gold plating.
What this means for you:
- Solid sterling silver, not simply plated over a cheaper base metal
- Gentle on sensitive ears
- Long-lasting with proper care and storage
14K Solid Gold
Our solid 14K gold pieces are crafted from gold throughout, rather than gold-plated over another metal. Its balance of gold content and durability makes it well suited for jewellery designed to be worn regularly. Currently only our flatback earrings are crafted in 14k solid gold.
What this means for you:
- Great for everyday wear, no need to remove earrings during shower
- Gentle on sensitive ears
- Extremely durable, color remains the same for decades
5A Cubic Zirconia
We use carefully selected 5A-grade cubic zirconia for its clarity, precise cutting and brilliant sparkle. 5A is a jewellery trade term commonly used to describe higher-quality cubic zirconia.
What this means for you:
- Bright, clear and beautifully reflective
- A refined diamond-like appearance
- Beautiful sparkle without the diamond price tag
Lab Grown Diamond
Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds created using advanced technology. They have the same physical and chemical properties as mined diamonds and are assessed using the same 4Cs: cut, colour, clarity and carat.
What this means for you:
- A real diamond, not a diamond imitation
- The same brilliance and durability as a mined diamond
- A more accessible way to wear diamond jewellery
Natural Gemstones
Our natural gemstones are formed in nature, giving each stone its own variations in colour, pattern and character. We select them individually based on the qualities best suited to each design.
What this means for you:
- Naturally occurring materials with their own character
- Subtle variations make each piece a little different
- Carefully selected to complement each design
Freshwater Pearls
Freshwater pearls are naturally formed, with each pearl developing its own shape, colour, surface and lustre. These subtle differences are a natural part of their beauty.
What this means for you:
- Every pearl is naturally unique
- Beautiful natural lustre and character
- A timeless material that works across both classic and modern designs
Mother of Pearl
Mother-of-pearl is a natural material found within certain mollusc shells, valued for its soft iridescence and shifting colours. Its natural pattern means no two pieces will look exactly alike.
What this means for you:
- Naturally luminous with a soft, pearlescent finish
- Each piece has its own subtle colour and pattern
- Lightweight and beautifully suited to delicate designs
Enamel
Enamel adds colour and detail to our designs through a smooth decorative finish applied to the jewellery surface. It allows us to create everything from subtle accents to playful seasonal motifs.
What this means for you:
- Rich, expressive colour in detailed designs
- Allows for more playful and distinctive styles
- With proper care, the finish can remain beautiful for a long time
